	Abstract Submission Deadline: March 15, 2012, 11:59 PM, Central Time

To submit your abstract using the online submission form, you will need:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer, Version 6.0 or higher, or
• Safari Version 3.0 or higher.
• Mozilla Firefox, Version 2.0 or higher.

• Click the buttons on the left side of the screen and complete each section. Be sure to carefully follow the instructions within each section.
  
  
• Save your work by clicking on "Save/Next". This does not submit your abstract for review. Be sure to save your work before logging off the site.
  
  
• If you use any special or unusual abbreviation in the abstract, place it in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears, then use the abbreviation throughout the remainder of the abstract.
  
  
• When citing references, provide the name of the first author, the title of the book or the name of the journal, and the year in which it was published.
  
  
• No illustrations, figures, images, tables, graphs are to be included.
  
  
• You can log off at any time without submitting your abstract and return to continue your work at another time. As long as you do not submit the abstract, it can be edited and revised online as many times as needed. If you give your username and password to another person, they will have access to edit all abstracts you have not submitted for review.
  
  
• Click on "Preview Abstract" to verify that you abstract is correct.
  
  
• Click on "Submit Abstract", but ONLY when you are sure that your abstract is complete and in final form.
  
  
• Print out and proofread the abstract preview to verify that it is correct before completing the submission process.
  
  

1. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Annals of Neurology, the official journal of the ANA.
   
2. Authors need not be members of the ANA or ABN, nor be sponsored by a member. All are welcome to submit abstracts. Acceptance will be based entirely upon quality.
   
3. The ANA and ABN will consider research that has been previously presented at another meeting, but has been modified to reflect further developments or to apply to the ANA audience.
   
4. All presenters must register for the meeting and will be required to pay the Annual Meeting registration fee.
   
5. The abstract receipt deadline, March 15, 2012, 11:59 PM, Central Time, will remain firm and any abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted.
   
6. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by the beginning of May 2012.
